Shane MacGowan's voice cuts through the title track and sets up what is a fabulous collection of songs that range from rollicking Irish/Punk to folksy ballads.

Need a pick-me-up? Buy this album.
I don't usually review classics- works of literature or music whose greatness is so self-evident and widely acknowledged as to render any acclaim of mine as superfluous, unnecessary and probably inadequate.

Just a great damn CD and remastering!
I've loved this CD since I bought the original relase around 1990, and decided to pay some more money for the remastered version.

This Great Band's Greatest Album
Every Shane MacGowan Pogues' album was terrific, but this one stands apart from the others.

Adam and Eve
I was first introduced to the Pogues by an alternative radio station, reporting on Margaret Thatcher's censorship of the Pogues--presumably because the band was supporting the Irish who were allegedly accused of terrorist acts against England.

If I Should Fall from Grace With God ~ The Pogues
If I Should Fall from Grace With God~ The Pogues is a very nice \"folk-rock\" album with nicely written lyrics, and vocals that sound rough and a bit uncouth but it just for the this kind of music.

Genius
Having only heard of the Pogues via Fairytale of New York and buying this CD on a whim, I was curious and wary as to what I was letting myself in for.

bonus tracks?
A great re-issue and all, but can someone explain why \"South Australia\" was taken from the middle of the album and placed at the very end, after the bonus tracks?

Not just pretty faces
One could look at the cover of this album and dismiss the Pogues as yet another super cute boy band that the chicks would go nuts nuts for.
