Being familiar with these discs over many years, this boxed set gave me an opportunity to purchase the remaining 50% of discs that I had not been able to acquire previously.

Complete collection, excellent performances, beautifully packaged, with descriptions, a Ittle expenive, but worth for it.

So often we get to know composers through a handful of their most familiar works, continually played almost as a ritual, sometimes just on certain days of the year, and we never get a chance to experience what a wealth of music - at least as good as, and sometimes even better, than the limited few that are often applauded as soon as their first few notes are played.
